“First — see the character. Then — catch its light.”
Horses have lived in my work for a long time — not as a recurring motif but as a constant source of inspiration. There is so much inner strength in them and, at the same time, such delicate vulnerability that I want to keep trying to capture that balance on canvas.
I create living images of animals — in every portrait I try to convey not only the precise silhouette, but also the character, the mood, the story. Paintings of horses are a tandem of presence and grace, of strength and fragility at once, where the eyes seem a source of inexhaustible wisdom and inner calm. That is why paintings of horses are always current, valued and look expensive.
For those for whom a horse is not just an animal but a whole world. They can fill a home with warmth and luxury, and in the case of a portrait of your own horse, it is also a way to capture a beloved creature with special value and to convey every nuance of the emotions lived with it — because, unlike a photo, a painting can carry not just a captured moment but a whole life. That is exactly why I try to convey not only the likeness but also this living bond — to paint so that the soul stirs.
If you want to capture your beloved horse — tell me about its character, about what is most dear to you in it. I will choose the composition, palette and technique so that on the canvas it remains exactly as you see and love it. It is important to me that the painting does not simply hang on the wall but provokes emotion.
I work from references and help choose composition and colour scheme for your interior or brief.
You can get to know the works in the gallery on the site, and to discuss a commission write to me in a direct message or by email (link to the Contact section) — I will explain the stages, timing and price.

Commissioned Portrait
The work begins with a conversation about the horse, references, and an understanding of what the future portrait should be.
Choosing the image
You send photos and tell me what exactly you want to preserve in the portrait: the gaze, the movement, the character, a detail.
Sketch and work
Composition is assembled, format and mood are refined. Then the work with colour, light and texture begins.
Finished painting
Once completed, the details of delivery and framing of the original are agreed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Brief notes on ordering, materials, timing and shipping. If the answer is not here — write to me, I'll explain in detail.
How do I commission a horse portrait?+
Write to me in a direct message or by email — tell me about the horse, send reference photos and describe the mood you want to convey. I will choose the composition, palette and technique, agree on a sketch and name the timing and price. The work proceeds in stages: sketch — colour work — final details.
What technique and materials do you work in?+
The main technique is oil painting on cotton or linen canvas. I use professional fine-art materials with a long service life. On request, work in acrylic or tempera is possible. Sizes range from 30×40 cm to 100×120 cm and larger.
How long does a commissioned portrait take?+
On average, a single portrait takes 3 to 8 weeks depending on size, complexity of the composition and the queue. I give the exact deadline after agreeing on the sketch. Rush orders are discussed separately.
Do you ship paintings abroad?+
Yes, I ship originals across Russia and abroad. Within Russia — CDEK or Russian Post with insurance. International shipping — EMS or trusted courier services. The painting is packed in a protective tube or rigid packaging.
Can I see a painting before buying?+
Yes, on request I will send additional photos, video fragments and a mock-up in the interior. For clients in Moscow, a personal meeting and viewing are possible. An online session demonstrating the work in good lighting is also available.
